At Smithville School, we believe that all children are capable of learning. Our mission is to provide a positive, yet challenging learning environment where students are given the opportunity to become successful in all areas, preparing them to become productive citizens and have bright futures by achieving their personal goals.

Thursday, May 14th - Pre-K Graduation in the Dome at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 14th - Junior High Girls basketball tryouts during 7th period.
May 14th after school there will be a tryout/training session for the Smithville Fall Guard for the 2026 Fall marching season. All participants will be trained in what will be on the tryout. This will be for students in the 7th-12th grade next year. See Mr. Thompson for more details.
Thursday, May 14th and Friday, May 15th - High School girls basketball tryouts during 8th period
Junior High exams begin tomorrow. High School exams begin Monday. You will use a parent note to check out or a parent can come in and check you out. No phone calls. You will come through the office to sign out. Students will remain in the classroom the whole time during exams.
Any High School girls interested in joining the Crown Club Junior Auxiliary of Amory should scan the QR code on the flyer on the bulletin board by the counselor’s office. This is due May 15th.
Anyone interested in signing up for softball tryouts Grades 6-11 can do so in Coach Harris room. Tryouts will be Monday, May 18th.
Any student interested in taking the Health Science course at the CTC must fill out an application. These are located in the 10th Grade folder outside Coach Harris’ room.
